The belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something a positive feeling arising from an appreciation of one’s own ability of self-assurance.

These are two definitions taken from a dictionary and although confidence has other meaning it is one of the above that is interesting to us. How we feel about ourselves ripples out into every area of our lives and is often an issue for people. We can divide self-esteem issues into three main categories in a therapeutic setting.

  1. Needing confidence for a special event or situation.
  2. Client presents with a different issue and after further investigation I can uncover that the basic problem is self-esteem.
  3. Deep underlying lack of self- esteem.

These can all be treated with therapy using hypnosis NLP and mindfulness.
